An overnight fire destroyed a lakefront cottage in Gravenhurst.
Fire crews were called to the blaze near Peninsula Road last night at around 9 p.m. When they arrived on scene, the home was "fully involved" with flames.
Difficult access to the property for fire apparatus and the topography of the property itself have made firefighting difficult for crews. Water supply has been established at Morrison Lake in addition to tanker shuttles and crews now have the fire under control pic.twitter.com/iih3vtE4Dz

Due to the topography of the property and access issues, this blaze was "difficult for crews," officials said.
Water supply was established at Morrison Lake and from tanker shuttles. In total, seven fire apparatus and 30 firefighters fought the blaze at the height of the battle.
The home was a total loss, and damage is estimated at $1.5 million. The investigation is ongoing but not considered suspicious, officials say.
