Four sent to hospital after two Jeeps crash

The South Simcoe Police Service is seeking witnesses and dash camera footage following a serious collision in the Town of Innisfil.
 
On Saturday, November 11, 2023, at approximately 8:00 p.m., police, Innisfil Fire and Rescue, and County of Simcoe Paramedics responded to a two-vehicle collision at Lockhart Road and the 20th Sideroad.  A Jeep Patriot travelling eastbound on Lockhart Road collided with a Jeep Grand Cherokee travelling southbound on the 20th Sideroad.  
 
The male driver of the Jeep Patriot, age 55, and the male passenger, age 39, both from Innisfil, were transported to a local hospital in critical condition then transferred to a Toronto trauma centre.  
 
The 18-year-old male driver from Barrie and the 18-year-old female passenger from Innisfil in the Jeep Grand Cherokee were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
 
The Traffic Unit attended the scene to conduct a collision reconstruction.  Roads were closed for several hours but have since reopened.
