South Simcoe Police Service officers laid impaired driving charges and issued a licence suspension recently.
At about 8:20 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the report of a man outside of a vehicle on Shore Acres Drive in Innisfil. When they arrived, police located the man sitting in the driver’s seat.
The 62-year-old from Brighton was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired (excess blood-alcohol).
About 10 minutes later, while police were conducting a RIDE check on Innisfil Beach Road near Sideroad 10, a 19-year-old Gravenhurst woman was issued a three-day licence suspension and charged for being a novice driver in the presence of a drug and driving with cannabis readily available.
