An Innisfil man faces numerous charges following a "domestic incident" last weekend in Alcona.
On Sunday, Aug. 27, South Simcoe police officers responded to a call in the Innisfil community. When officers arrived, they learned the suspect had left the scene in a vehicle, but returned and was arrested, according to a news release.
Following the police investigation, a 49-year-old Innisfil man has been charged with assault, domestic mischief, operation of a motor vehicle while impaired, and operation while impaired - excess blood alcohol.
Police say they are not releasing the name of the accused "because of the domestic nature of the incident."
The man's driver licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
None of the allegations have been tested in court.
