An Innisfil man is facing numerous charges in relation to alleged break-ins and vehicle thefts from an automotive repair shop in town.

South Simcoe police investigated the incidents that occurred between June and October at the business in the area of Innisfil Beach Road and Kate Avenue.

“The business was targeted for vehicle keys that had been dropped off by customers with the intention of having the vehicle serviced. The vehicle keys were used to steal various motor vehicles from the property,” police said in a news release. “The stolen vehicles were found abandoned in the area and recovered by police.”

Officers executed a search warrant Oct. 26 at a home in Innisfil, where they seized several items and arrested a suspect.

Justin King, 35, has been charged with 24 offences, including break and enter, mischief, theft, theft of a motor vehicle, and possession of property obtained by crime. He was held for a bail hearing.
