Innisfil woman, 77, facing impaired driving-related charges

South Simcoe police laid similar impaired driving charges against the Innisfil resident and a 23-year-old Barrie woman in two separate incidents earlier this week

Two people have been charged with impaired driving following collisions this week in Innisfil.

On Monday at about 7:45 p.m., South Simcoe police responded to a vehicle in a ditch near Lockhart Road and 25th Sideroad. The driver was not injured.

The 77-year-old Innisfil woman has been charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired (excess blood-alcohol).

On Wednesday at about 11:30 p.m., police responded to a collision involving a vehicle into a guardrail in the area of County Road 4 and 3rd Line. The driver was not injured.

The 23-year-old Barrie woman has been charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired (excess blood-alcohol).

Both of the drivers’ licences will be suspended for 90 days and their vehicles will be impounded for seven days.
