Man arrested for six break-ins in Bradford last year

Vaughan man also facing similar charges for occurrences in York, Durham, Halton

A Vaughan man has been charged in relation to six break-ins that occurred last year in Bradford West Gwillimbury.

On Feb. 9, members of the South Simcoe Police Service Street Crime Unit, the York Regional Police Integrated Property Crime Task Force and the Durham Regional Police Property Crime Unit executed search warrants at a residence in Vaughan and three vehicles. A suspect was arrested and stolen items were recovered.

A 40-year-old man has been charged with six counts of break and enter a dwelling house, five counts of mischief under $5,000, five counts of theft under $5,000 and one count of theft over $5,000.

He was also charged with a number of similar offences by York Regional Police, Durham Regional Police and Halton Police. He was held by York Regional Police for a show-cause hearing.

The investigation is continuing.
