On Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 2:20 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were called to a report of an injured man laying in the middle of Innisfil Beach Road near St. Johns Road in Innisfil. Upon arrival, police located a 63-year-old man with an injury to his arm. The investigation determined that the man was assaulted with a bottle during a dispute.
As a result of the investigation, 63-year-old Scott Wallace of Innisfil was charged with:
- Assault with a weapon, and
- Assault causing bodily harm.
He was released with a future court date.
