More than 24 charges laid following theft from vehicle in Bradford

A man is facing more than 24 charges after being arrested Sunday for stealing items from a vehicle in Bradford.

At about 3:20 a.m., South Simcoe police responded to the area of Holland Street and Collings Avenue, where a man had fled after the vehicle owner found him in the vehicle, according to a news release.

Police say the suspect then used stolen credit and debit cards to make numerous purchases at a business nearby.

Officers located the suspect and arrested him.

A 37-year-old Scarborough man has been charged with numerous offences, including mischief, theft, theft of a credit card, use of a credit card, possession of stolen goods, drug possession, and probation order non-compliance. He was held for a bail hearing.
