Pair of Innisfil drivers face impaired charges

Both drivers had their licence suspended for 90 days

The South Simcoe Police Service recently laid the following impaired driving charges, including one arrest as a result of a RIDE program.

On Friday, April 28, 2023 at approximately 3 a.m., police spoke with a driver at a RIDE program set up on Saint Johns Road north of the 6th Line in the Town of Innisfil. 

As a result of an investigation, a 31-year-old Innisfil woman was charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired - excess blood alcohol, driving while under suspension and drive motor vehicle with open container of liquor readily available.

On Saturday, April 29, 2023 at approximately 7 p.m., police investigated a vehicle in a parking lot on Queen Street near County Road 27 in Cookstown. As a result of an investigation, a 47-year-old Innisfil woman was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired - excess blood alcohol.

Both drivers had their licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicles impounded for seven days.
