A Barrie police vehicle sustained damage following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Anne and Tiffin streets Oct. 26.

No injuries are being reported following a two-vehicle crash involving a Barrie police cruiser and a white sport utility vehicle Thursday afternoon.

“We do have officers on scene and from what I am hearing there are no injuries,” department spokesperson Peter Leon said.

Details surrounding the crash, which occurred at the intersection of Anne and Tiffin streets, were limited, he noted, however police got the call at 2:05 p.m.

“The investigation is ongoing and we do have a supervisor there to help. I don’t know any of the details surrounding what happened other than it was in the intersection and there is damage to two vehicles, one being a marked police vehicle,” Leon said.

Crews were still cleaning debris from the crash site just after 2:30 p.m., said Leon. This is likely a limited closure until the cleanup is completed.

“Things should be fully reopened shortly,” he said.
