BRADFORD – The South Simcoe Police Service is releasing security camera images and appealing for the public's assistance following the theft of a vehicle in Bradford.

A 2018, black, Toyota Camry was stolen from a driveway in the Reid Road and Miller Park Avenue area between the hours of 10 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021 and the following morning of Sunday, Aug. 15, 2021.

Police are seeking the public's assistance to identify a suspect pictured in the security camera images. Anyone with information, security or dash cam footage is asked to contact Detective Sergeant David Caccia at 905-775-3311 or 705-436-2141, extension #1013, [email protected] or contact Crime Stoppers.

Vehicle thefts can happen anywhere but you can play a role in trying to prevent your car from being stolen.

Here are some tips to help secure your vehicle: 

  • Lock car doors, close all the windows and don't leave keys, personal information or valuables inside 
  • Park in well-lit areas or a locked garage 
  • Consider using anti-theft devices such as a steering wheel lock, automatic engine shut-off and/or a tracking device 
  • Store key fobs in a radio frequency shielding box or pouch
  • Keep your keys away from the front door where they could easily be stolen
