South Simcoe police lay numerous impaired driving charges

Incidents in Bradford and Innisfil occurred between Feb. 2 and 16

The South Simcoe Police Service has laid numerous impaired driving charges this month.

On Feb. 16 at about 7:10 p.m., police responded to a rear-end collision at Innisfil Beach Road and 10 Sideroad in Innisfil. A 54-year-old Utterson resident was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired (excess blood-alcohol).

At about 3 p.m. the same day, police responded to a driving complaint on 10 Sideroad in Innisfil. A vehicle was stopped and a 43-year-old Bradford resident was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired (excess blood-alcohol).

On Feb. 15 at approximately 11:09 p.m., police were conducting a RIDE check on the 10th Sideroad and 6th Line in Bradford West Gwillimbury. A Barrie resident was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired (excess blood-alcohol).

On Feb. 14 at about 11:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash. A car had been driven into a farm field near 10th Sideroad and 9th Line in Bradford West Gwillimbury. A 25-year-old Mount Albert resident was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired (excess blood-alcohol), and dangerous operation.

On Feb. 11 at approximately 3 a.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle parked in the middle of a lane at the intersection of 10th Sideroad and Innisfil Beach Road in Innisfil. A 21-year-old Barrie resident was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired (excess blood-alcohol), and driving with liquor readily available.

On Feb. 11 at about 1 a.m., an officer driving on the 6th Line in Innisfil saw a vehicle in the ditch.A 34-year-old Innisfil resident was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired (excess blood-alcohol).

On Feb. 2 at about 2:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a suspected impaired driver in a parking lot on Holland Street East in Bradford West Gwillimbury. A 64-year-old Bradford resident was charged with operation while impaired and failing to surrender a licence.
