Suspect images released in February gas theft investigation

Police hope to identify the suspect and vehicle

South Simcoe Police Service officers are seeking the public's help to identify a suspect in a theft of gas in Bradford.

The theft occurred on Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020 around 2:20 p.m., at the Pioneer Gas Station on Bridge Street. A man driving a Mercedes SUV pumped a quantity of gas and left without paying. Police are releasing security camera images in an effort to identify the suspect and the vehicle.

Suspect description:
    •    White
    •    Wearing blue jeans, brown shoes and a white, possible ROOTS, sweater

Suspect vehicle:
    •    Grey/silver 2002-2005 Mercedes Benz ML350 or ML550
    •    Appears to have a set of Portuguese boxing gloves hanging from the rear view mirror
