Suspect in Toronto murder arrested at Innisfil home

It is alleged there was an interaction involving several males and a firearm was discharged.

Police arrested a Toronto man in Innisfil Saturday, charging him with first-degree murder.

Toronto police, with the help of Ontario Provincial Police and South Simcoe Police, went to an Alcona home and arrested a 26-year-old man.

He was in court Sunday at Toronto Regional Bail Centre.

On Monday, Aug. 21, 2023, at 4:52 a.m., Toronto police responded to a shooting call in the area of College Street and Siding Avenue. 

It is alleged there was an interaction involving several males and a firearm was discharged.

One of the males was struck by gunfire.

Police officers and paramedics attended and a 41-year-old Toronto man was transported to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
