Suspected MDMA seized after driver rear-ends two vehicles: Police

South Simcoe Police Service officers laid several charges against an Alliston woman after consecutive rear-end collisions in Innisfil.

On Thursday, Aug. 27, 2020 around 2 p.m., police were called to County Road 89 near Highway 400 after a vehicle rear-ended a transport truck and then another vehicle.

A roadside drug-screening device test on the driver of the suspect vehicle issued a positive result for THC. The driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.  

Twenty-three-year-old Jessica Tucci of Alliston was charged with possession of suspected MDMA (ecstasy), possession for the purpose of trafficking, novice driver - presence of drugs, careless driving, fail to properly wear seat belt, and cannabis readily available.  

Her licence was suspended for three days and she was released with a future court date.
