Vehicle located empty near Sideroad 30; suspect not found

A suspect wanted in connection to an assault in Toronto led police on a pursuit Saturday in Innisfil.

At 12:17 p.m., the Toronto Police Service requested the assistance of the South Simcoe Police Service regarding the assault investigation.

Officers located the suspect driving on the 13th Line in Innisfil and attempted to make a vehicle stop, but the suspect fled, leading to a brief pursuit, according to South Simcoe police.

The suspect drove through the Friday Harbour area, and the vehicle was later found empty in a driveway on a street off of Sideroad 30.

Officers searched the area, but the suspect was not found.

No one was injured.
