An assault in Innisfil has led to multiple charges laid by the South Simcoe Police Service.

On July 8 at approximately 3:15 p.m., police responded to a call at a home in the area of Webster Boulevard and Innisfil Beach Road in Alcona.

Police say that an investigation revealed that a verbal altercation led to the assault of two male residents (aged 53 and 21) and that pepper spray was allegedly used.

Two neighbours came to help the victims and police say they were also allegedly assaulted before the suspects left the scene in a vehicle.

The suspects were located in the vehicle and arrested without further incident.

The 21-year-old victim was taken to hospital for treatment. None of the other victims required medical attention.

Andrew Church, 33, of Innisfil has been charged with multiple counts of assault and weapons offences. Luke Warren, 32, and Karen Tonery, 46, both of Barrie, were also charged with multiple counts of assault.

None of the allegations against the three accused have been tested in court and they are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
