Two people charged after ATV found on private property

Two 59-year-old Innisfil men face trespassing, alcohol-related charges

On Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023 at approximately 1:30 a.m., police responded to a report of an unknown ATV driving on a property in the area of Line 13 and Yonge Street in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury.

Officers located the ATV but the driver fled police. A vehicle stop was subsequently conducted and the driver and passenger were placed under arrest.

As a result of an investigation, 59-year-old Robert Burgess of Innisfil was charged with operation while impaired - excess blood alcohol, operation while impaired, flight from peace officer, and trespassing at night.

His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.  

Fifty-nine-year-old Alan Corbett of Innisfil was charged with trespassing at night and being intoxicated in public place.

Both accused were released with a future court date.
