A Mississauga man is facing charges after South Simcoe police say he crashed a vehicle into a median while driving in the wrong direction in Innisfil, Wednesday.
The driver was travelling west in an eastbound lane on Innisfil Beach Road, near Webster Boulevard in Alcona, when the crash occurred at about 4 a.m., according to the South Simcoe Police Service.
The driver and his passenger were treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.
Zamir Fazal, 64, has been charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired (excess blood-alcohol), and dangerous operation. His licence will be suspended for 90 days and his vehicle will be impounded for seven days.
