Innisfil Ward 6 Candidate Megan Varga is inviting residents to a meet and greet, liquidation sale and BBQ this weekend, as part of her election campaign kickoff.

The event will take place Saturday, Aug. 27 from 1 to 5 p.m. at 65 Big Bay Point Rd.

Varga is an Innisfil resident of over 20 years and is hoping to be elected to council this term.

She is encouraging Ward 6 residents to come out, introduce themselves, and learn more bout her campaign platform.

The sale will be held in the Tranquil Corners Yoga Studio, and the BBQ will be happening in the parking lot beside Harbour Home Interiors. Items for the sale include sheet sets, comforters, tools, and more.  There will also be a donation box for the Innisfil Food Bank.

Varga has over 10 years municipal experience, traversing procedures and protocols in order to keep business moving forward. She has also been the Secretary Treasurer for her union for almost five years. She has been elected to the last three bargaining committees and, earlier this year, is proud to
have been part of the team that achieved the most competitive collective agreement, for a municipality in Ontario.

Varga has been a community advocate for many years and has worked with Innisfil Council on matters ranging from commercial water taking, to the most recent, the Municipal Comprehensive Review. Her vision for Ward 6 is unity, better pedestrian and road safety, a better transit option, and retirement community options.  She is also focused on preserving the natural heritage features and Lake Simcoe.

She is available for resident inquires at [email protected] or 289-231-2644.
