Ward 6 candidate hosts meet and greet over the weekend

Proceeds from the event will go to Varga's campaign fund

Ward 6 municipal election candidate for Innisfil Megan Varga hosted a meet and greet Saturday outside of Tranquil Corners Yoga at 65 Big Point Rd.

There was a bevy of activities for guests including a large liquidation sale of bedding, tools and kitchen accessories, as well as a BBQ of free hot dogs and hamburgers and an opportunity to meet with Varga.

Fellow election candidates, Leslie Pollack who is running for councillor in Ward 3 and Carol Griffith, running for councillor in Ward 2, were on hand to help out at the event.

"This is just a case of candidates helping candidates," said Varga. “The combination of a BBQ, a large liquidation sale in a high-traffic area was the best and easiest way to meet and greet potential voters.”

The BBQ, under the expertise of campaign manager Ron MacEachern, was busy but prompt in looking after everyone’s requests. MacEachern who arranged
the liquidation noted that all proceeds of the day's sale will go to Varga’s campaign fund.

With a beautiful sunny day, Varga was able to attract a good steady flow of traffic, with many already familiar with her platform including her focus on environmental protection which includes Lake Simcoe.
