GREEN, Robert William (Bob)

Green, Robert William (Bob) May 7th, 1937 – September 9th, 2022. On Friday, September 9th, 2022, Robert (Bob) Green of Barrie, passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe with family by his side. The family is saddened to share this announcement, following his lengthy battle with cancer. He is survived by and dearly missed by his wife of 64 years, Shirley Anne Green (nee: Haney); son Donald Green; Michael Green (Patti Green); grandchildren: Maegan and Hunter, grand-dogger Georgie and his many nieces and nephews. Bob was born in Hamilton to parents William and Gladys Green.  He was predeceased by his five siblings, Ernie, Lily, Doris, Mae, and Ethel.  Bob worked in the plumbing wholesale industry and was proud to have had only two jobs his entire career.  He worked for Crane supply for 25 years and Emco Supply for an additional 25 years. He enjoyed the serene cottage life North of Huntsville.  Bob built his cottage by hand with his family and many friends along the way.  We are extremely fortunate to have had Bob in our lives and he will be forever missed by his family and friends. The family is deeply indebted to all the Doctors, Nurses, Personal Support Workers, Staff and Volunteers at the Simcoe Hospice facility who helped Bob through this journey. At Bob’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral, memorial service or celebration of life events.
