It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dawn Marie Smith, of Barrie, ON.
She passed peacefully on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at the age of 76 years at her place of residence Grove Park Home. Loving mother of Trisha Smith-Evans and Meredith Smith (John Schweier). Devoted grandmother to Dylan and Nolan. Dear sister of Melinda Delong, and Wendy Robichaud, sister-in-law to Kerry Dennis (Craig) and Paula Smith.
Dawn will be forever loved and remembered by her nieces and nephew, Melissa Delong (Todd), Jay Delong, Katie Allison (Mike), Dustin Dennis, Amy Robichaud (Josh), and Nicole Robichaud (Sean), and her extended family and friends. Predeceased by her beloved husband Tim, her parents Mel and Blanche Hanley, sister Suzanne, brother Jack, brothers-in-law Peter and George and nephew Trevor. Dawn was an avid reader, enjoyed music, loved the outdoors and her feline friends.
The thing she treasured the most was spending time with her family. A private family interment will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Barrie, at a later date.
