NEWS RELEASE
ONTARIO PROVINCIAL POLICE
*************************
Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be busy monitoring our roadways this holiday weekend.

Particular attention will be paid to the Mover over Law. The Highway Traffic Act of Ontario applies. We are asking the motoring public to be aware that they must, when approaching an emergency vehicle, ambulance, fire service vehicle, police vehicle or tow truck, slow down and proceed with caution.

Upon conviction, the fine for a first offence is $400 and not more than $100.

Officers will also be observing for violations of the Big Four, which are impaired driving, use of seat belts, distracted driving and speeding.

We would like everyone to have a safe and enjoyable weekend.
