Truck stolen from Newmarket recovered in Barrie, suspect caught on camera

Police are looking for a man aged 25 to 30 with a shaved head, seen in video surveillance from a Circle K in Pefferlaw

A truck that was stolen from a Newmarket parking lot on Dec. 30 was later recovered in Barrie but now police are looking for the suspected thief. 

At 8 p.m. that night, a suspect stole a white 2016 Chevy pickup truck with a red snow plow from a commercial parking lot at 195 Harry Walker Pkwy. 

However, the truck was equipped with GPS and was traced to a Circle K on Highway 48 in Pefferlaw and then was later recovered on Douglas Road in Barrie about 11:30 p.m. that same night. 

Video surveillance from the Circle K shows the suspect inside the store. 

He is described as a white male, aged 25 to 30 with a medium build and shaved head. At the time of the incident he was wearing a black Champion hoodie.
