Dowle, Robert

April 21, 1942 - July 13, 2022

Robert was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, receiving his technical education there, after which he moved to Alberta to pursue a career in welding, pipefitting, and inspection. He lived in Fort Saskatchewan and from there worked for a variety of companies, many through employment via Local 488, the Plumber and Pipe-Fitters Union. Welding was definitely Robert’s passion, and he was as proficient in his Trade as he was recognized for his ability. He was sought out by many for the solid jobs he could do and just the way in which only he could accomplish them. He also loved discovering unique facts about the world and its history and enjoyed sharing those with any who were so interested.

Robert was predeceased by his parents Robert and Grace Dowle, and brother-in-law Frank Josiak. He is survived by his sons, Dean, Darryl (Brittany), and Daniel (Teagan), and three young granddaughters, twins Savannah & Scarlett, and Vera. He also leaves to mourn his sister, Marlene Josiak in Bracebridge, Ontario; his niece, Nicole (Bill) and nephew, Scott (Jennifer) and their children; plus friends and relatives in Alberta and Ontario.
