John Mary Mario Mizzi, aged 64, passed away surrounded by family on July 22, 2023, at Royal Victoria Hospital. He was the husband of Michelle Louise Mizzi. They were married on September 12, 1981, or if you asked John, September 13, 1980. They shared 42…or….43 years of marriage.
Born in Etobicoke, Ontario, he was the son of Diomede and Maria Mizzi. He was a Millwright, Jack of all Trades who ran his own business MVTMS Technical Services Inc. for 15 years. He was an avid Paranormal Investigator who amassed years of scientific evidence for the field and was asked frequently to speak on Radio Stations and College Campuses. He spent a lot of time on his 1967 Dodge Charger at car shows and events. John was a well-loved member of his community, and often could be found talking to people for hours when he was supposed to be grocery shopping.
He is survived by his wife Michelle, his children Matthew Mizzi (Sarah Mizzi), Alicia Mizzi (Andrew Rea) and his granddaughter Lucille Morgan Rea. His siblings Paul Mizzi (Janet Mizzi), Doris Bartello, Josie Dear (Bill Dear), Frank Mizzi (Rose). He will be with the following loved ones who have passed: his brother Charles Mizzi, brother-in-Law Frank Bartello, father-in-law Leopold Virus, Mother-in-law Lucille Virus, Mark Virus, Rick Coyle, Gord Sanderson, and their beloved family pets, Nook, Spoo, Ben, and Jazz.
The Celebration of Life will be held at Innisfil Funeral Home, 7910 Yonge St, Innisfil, L9S 1L5, on Saturday, July 29, 2023: Visitation at 1 pm, with the Service to follow at 2 pm.
Memorial Donations/in lieu of flowers may be made to The Children’s Hospital and Ronald McDonald House Charities.
