Mary Neely of Innisfil, in her 99th year passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. Predeceased by her husband Raymond Neely.

Survived by sisters Helen (deceased Bill), Gladys (deceased Bill) and brother Norman (Joan).

Dear mother of Dale (Bonnie), Wayne (deceased) (Leah deceased), Dennis (deceased), Bryan (Bonnie), Patsy. Dear grandmother of Richard, Mike (Kelly), Greg, Brad, Jason (Jennifer), Steven (Anna), Michael (Jenna). Loving great-grandmother of Zachary, Jessica, Megan, Laura, Megan, Joe, Carther, Jack, Charlie, Norah and Logan. Special lady to Kathy and Ken French and family.

Mary loved watching the Toronto Blue Jays and any competitive curling. Mary along with Ray were very well known in the hamlet of Stroud. Mary had a deep passion for gardening and often had people stop to admire and take photos of her gardens. Her love for Irises had her with over 300 plants at one point in her life. She was very involved with the Painswick Horticultural Society for many years. She also was an accomplished quilter with many hours spent on church quilts or her own.

A Celebration of Mary’s life will be held on Saturday, July 29th at the Stroud Curling Club from 1:00-3:00 pm. Cremation has taken place.

The family wishes to express gratitude for the special care given by the doctors and nurses of RVH’s Specialized Seniors Care Unit (3rd floor) as well as the wonderful caring staff and volunteers at Hospice Simcoe.
