James "Jim" Harvey Reid
October 18, 1948 - July 18, 2023
James “Jim” Harvey Reid died suddenly on July 18, 2023. Beloved husband of 53 years of Janice Reid (Munshaw). Beloved father to Denise, Deborah (Zavi) and Dan (Stacey). Loving grandfather of Daniel, Olivia, Israel, Mitzi, Honey and Nolan. Great Grandfather of Dommenick. Son of William James Reid and Jantje Jane Reid (Deceased) of Barrie. “Jonesy” was the youngest of 3 brothers, including Milt (Carol) of Barrie and Al (Fran, predeceased) of Milton. Jim will be sadly missed by many many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins in the Netherlands and Florida.
Jim was a very caring and genuine man who had so many friends in his lifetime, growing up in Lefroy, living in Thornton, Ivy and Sebright, He built every house he lived in, 9 in total for our family. Always making life-long friends he cared so much about and all of his family. Jim retired from Local 675 Drywall & Carpenters Union. Journeyman to countless apprentices. He will be deeply missed by many.
